Dont go here for a root canal and crown, was told by my student and his supervisor (Daniela Schuldt) that if they performed the root canal, they would do the crown. Do to pricing they understood I needed to do the crown at the school. Well got root canal, now its been 3 month and not one person has contacted me to finish this and do my crown.I understand it takes time to move to a different floor, but I was not told this prior to getting root canal, and I feel as this is excessive. If they perform a procedure they should complete it within a reasonable time. I have contacted them via website several times and have expressed my concern to the student who did root canal with no response. Feel like they completely lied or just dont care about finishing what they started. I was even quoted for both. Now im pretty sure a root canal cannot be left without a crown and should have been done by now. So even thought they say sure we will help you and quote you for all they DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH. Feel as if I went through all that for nothing. They should probably make sure they have the means to complete a time sensitive procedure before they agree to do so . Wow after reading Hollys b

Came for a 1:30 appointment. Still here at 4:35. Nothing has been done except the run arounds. I’ve been on every floor and some twice and I’m still waiting to get X-rays done. When I made the appointment I had to have X-rays sent over before the appointment. I was checked in on the third floor at 1:20 where I waited for an hour to be told I needed to go the first floor to get a paper to take to the fourth floor. From there I was sent to the first floor for X-rays. They didn’t know what I was there for when I got to the first floor. I waited for another hour. Now I’m being referred to X-ray across the hall. This sucks. 3 hours and not even an X-ray completed. Smh

Subject: Outstanding Experience with Dr. Robert Sutton and the UNC Chapel Hill Dental Team After an incredible year-long dental journey, I cannot recommend Dr. Robert Sutton and his team highly enough. My case was complex, involving surgeries, dental implants, crowns, and the challenge of creating a natural, functional smile on an upper jaw that did not have the space to support a typical number of teeth. From day one, Dr. Sutton meticulously planned every step of the process and always included me in the decision-making. He took the time to thoroughly explain procedures, options, and expectations, which gave me complete confidence in my care. What truly sets Dr. Sutton apart is the combination of exceptional technical skill and artistic talent. The final result is beyond anything I could have hoped for. He created a beautiful, natural-looking smile that perfectly fits my face and anatomy despite the challenges involved. We even developed an inside joke about my new "pillow teeth." Before this treatment, I had no idea a bite could feel this comfortable. My teeth now come together so naturally and comfortably that it feels like they are resting against each other like pillows. I had a tooth extraction done today and I had only maybe 3 seconds of mild pain from a needle poke. As someone who is afraid of the dentist this was such an immense relief. Dr. Vermette said it would only take 5-10 mins and no pain and to my astonishment that was exactly what happened. I appreciated very much that he has a kind demeanor, he was telling me about his wife and how she had a dentist phobia and that he gets it and wants his patients to not feel pain/afraid. I have only ever had one other extraction to compare it to but it seemed like more time was alloted for numbing or maybe it was done better during this visit. When he came to do the extractions it was pain free and amazingly fast, only 5-10 minutes, I was shocked because it took over an hour the other time I had an extraction. Before my appointment I had divided opinions, on one hand the services offered here are inexpensive and I feared maybe the discounted prices would correlate to the level of care but on the other hand it's UNC/reputable. In the end I'm so glad I came here, I feel like skill wise I received better care even though it was thankfully much more affordable. I had to wait for quite awhile but they had

I was given poorly fitted crowns that trap food and cause persistent odor unless deep cleaned after every meal. When I raised concerns, the attendant who approved the crowns became irritated, intimidating and dismissive. At one point the odor was blamed on bacterial buildup, then the student tried to blame my medication and floss, and ultimately attributed it to my temporary crown and I was sent home with a mini bottle of mouthwash as a solution. Over a month later, nothing has changed. I was also told they would take no responsibility regardless of what any other dentist might say, and that the crowns should only be expected to last one year. I cannot bring myself to return to people with such standards.
